History and Development

Several companies in the field of construction and landscaping are found to be at the root of the Cintec Group. Since 1986, with a major project, in the Montreal area, Quebec, Canada, the group has strongly oriented its activities in the environment sector. The project involved the rehabilitation of a contaminated former industrial plant and the construction of a maximum-security cell to encapsulate 750,000 m3 of contaminated soils. The project was completed in 1989.

In 1989, the Cintec Group obtained authorization from the Ministry of Environment of Quebec to build and operate a new secure landfill site for contaminated soils. Operations at this site began in 1990 and is in operation to this date.

Thanks to important investments that helped acquire new technologies, the Cintec Group offered services of management of municipal solid waste and the treatment of contaminated soils, medical waste and hazardous waste.
