With the rehabilitation, in 1986, of a contaminated former industrial plant in the Montreal region, the Cintec Group acquired invaluable experience and has become one of the foremost leaders in the management of contaminated soils and in the construction of maximum security cells.
In 1989, the Cintec Group purchased a land adjacent to this site and obtain authorization from Quebec’s Ministry of the Environment to construct and operate a new maximum security cell. This cell incorporates the most recent and performing technology in this field.
In 2005, an enlargement of the cell was authorized thus allowing the disposal of soils containing a contamination level inferior to the C criteria as set by the Land protection and rehabilitation regulation.
